Bob has been running the Pastoral Projects Office since it was established in 1996. Prior to that, he worked for several years at the Catholic Research Office for Pastoral Planning in the Archdiocese of Melbourne and, before that, was involved in Catholic secondary education for almost twenty years. He is married and has two adult children.

Audra’s interest in and knowledge about the Church comes through her involvement in religious publishing, parish life, studies in theology and pastoral ministry and her two research positions. Her professional background is in marketing and writing. Her responsibilities at the Pastoral Projects Office focus on qualitative research projects, including the 'Building Stronger Parishes' project. She liaises with pastoral planners through her role as Chair of the National Pastoral Planners Network. Audra also works as a researcher for the Christian Research Association.

Michael began his working life in the world of commerce and industry. A major career change moved him into the welfare and training sector where he worked five years at an inner city mission. Before joining the Pastoral Projects Office, Michael worked for 15 years in pastoral planning and parish pastoral council development in the Archdiocese of Adelaide. Michael’s main focus is working on Catholic participation in the National Church Life Survey. He is married to Patricia and they have seven children plus three grand children. They live in the Adelaide Hills in a log house they built over the last twenty years.

 

Stephen Reid

Stephen has a strong interest and qualifications in theology and social research. His professional background is in private industry, mainly in the finance and retail sectors. Stephen’s responsibilities at the Pastoral Projects Office focus on quantitative research, which includes analysing and disseminating data from the 2006 Census and working on a national mapping project. Stephen is also a researcher with the Christian Research Association. Stephen is married to Jane, with whom he has three young children.
